The writings of the young György Lukács with the author’s later corrections
This little book was born out of coincidence: these writings came to light thanks in part to coincidence. They have been preserved in the form of newspaper clippings and articles taken from journals– these are the first publications of writings (with the exception of one previously unpublished theater review) which have since become well known, but (and this is what makes these clippings interesting) Lukács took them out again after their publication and corrected them throughout, so they are the final versions of the texts in question, which, however, have never been published in their corrected form. Hence the title of the volume – Utolsó kéz (Last Hand) / Ultima manus.
